Bukit Bintang Nightlife
The most renowned of the bars and pubs that line Bukit Bintang is Planet Hollywood, just one part of the renowned chain of international restaurants that serve great American food with a fantastic bar. Planet Hollywood is also a venue for great music with frequent performances from local and international artistes as well as a live band every night.
Visitors who enjoy a lively atmosphere will enjoy Planet Hollywood for all its American goodness. Across the road and near Regent Hotel, you will find Carnegie's, a nice Western-styled pub which plays rock & roll as well as R&B music. Blue Boy is another small club within the vicinity that is a funky place with a reputation for queerness and cabaret shows.
Go further up to nearby Jalan Alor and you will discover some very established pubs, namely Frangipani, a chic bar with a nice variety of cocktails and shooters. They play house music and adopt a contemporary style in their décor. Also check out Little Havana, a nice Latin pub with a good selection of cigars.
Back to the main Bukit Bintang area; walk down the road towards Pudu Road from the cross junction and you'll find a nice row of restaurants and nightspots. The Captain's Cabin has been around for decades and still continues to serve good drinks in a nice atmosphere. The bar is located above a restaurant called 'The Ship'.
Further down the road is another great place called Finnegan's, a traditional Irish pub with a loud atmosphere and plenty of Caucasian drinkers. If you don't mind travelling to the end of the road, then check out QBa, another fantastic Latin pub and lounge located inside Westin hotel. They specialise in Mojitos, a traditional Cuban cocktail with a sweet kick to its taste
